Canal and Waterway Cleaning

Bank clearing, exotic growth removal and debris pull-out for canals, lakes and drainage easements.

Long-reach excavator clearing vegetation from a Florida canal bank

What the job covers

  • Bank and slope clearing
  • Exotic and invasive growth removal
  • Harvester boat for mid-channel growth
  • Floating and submerged debris pull-out
  • Drainage easement maintenance
  • Long-reach equipment worked from the bank
  • Everything hauled out and disposed of

A boat for what the bank cannot reach

An excavator on the bank only reaches so far. On a wide canal that leaves the middle of the channel untouched, and mid-channel growth is exactly what mats together and blocks the flow.

Our harvester boat works from the water. It cuts and lifts weed growth out of the middle of the channel, collects floating debris, and brings it back to the bank to be loaded and hauled. On canals with houses or seawalls along both sides it is often the only way in without disturbing anyone.

Keep the water moving before storm season

Canals and drainage easements silt up quietly. Brazilian pepper and other exotics take the banks, debris collects at the culverts, and nobody notices until a heavy rain backs water up into the properties behind it.

We pull the growth and debris out rather than pushing it downstream, and haul it away. For HOAs and municipalities we can put the work on a schedule ahead of hurricane season.
